Ikebukuro and Toshimaen Stations Harry Potter-style renewal ceremony & 'Studio Tour Tokyo Express' departure ceremony.

Seibu Railway Co Ltd announced that a ceremony was held today, 16 May 2023, one month before the opening of Warner Bros Studio Tour Tokyo - Making of Harry Potter, to celebrate the nearest station and wrapped train of the Studio Tour Tokyo.

1. 'Seibu Railway, Ikebukuro and Toshimaen Station Renewal Commemoration Ceremony', square in front of Toshimaen Station.
2. Departure ceremony of the fully wrapped Harry Potter train 'Studio Tour Tokyo Express' at Toshimaen station.

Before the opening of the Seibu Railway Ikebukuro and Toshimaen Station Renewal Commemoration Ceremony, a welcome violin performance was given by Yasuko Otani, President of the Nerima Ward Cultural Promotion Association. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was followed by an introduction of the renewal points of Ikebukuro and Toshimaen Stations and the first LED vision image above the Toshimaen Station building, which was unveiled today.

Thanks to everyone's support, today we were able to successfully hold a ceremony to celebrate the completion of the station renewal and the departure of the 'Studio Tour Tokyo Express'.

This ceremony was preceded by the opening of Nerima Joshi Park as a local disaster prevention base and recreational area, and next month will see the opening of Studio Tour Tokyo. We are delighted to welcome the world's second and Asia's first attractive facility along the Seibu Line. Studio Tour Tokyo is attracting attention not only from within Japan, but also from abroad.

We have been preparing for the renewal of Ikebukuro and Toshimaen Stations and the wrapping train in the hope that the many visitors will enjoy riding the Seibu Railway, which provides access to the nearest stations, with a heightened sense of anticipation and excitement. We hope that Harry Potter fans around the world will immerse themselves in this worldview from Ikebukuro Station.

We will continue to work actively with all concerned to further enhance the liveliness and community value of the area around Toshimaen Station.
