17th Nihonbashi Street Festa 2024 - Naniwa Ward Expo.

The Nihonbashi Street Festa Executive Committee (comprising shopping streets and businesses in the Nihonbashi (Den-Den Town) area of Osaka, as well as the United Promotion Town Association) opened the road facing the Nihonbashisuji shopping street (from the north end of the Ebisu Iriji intersection on Sakaisuji to the south end of the Nihonbashi 3-chome South intersection) to pedestrians for the "17th 2024 - Naniwa Ward EXPO".
The Corona Disaster started in 2020 and the Nihonbashi Stfest was cancelled for a long time, but this will be the first time since March 2019 that it has been held in a long time. In previous years, the festival was held in March, but this year it will be in May! (It's a bit of a hot season.)

The Nihonbashi Street Festa is one of the largest cosplay events in Japan, with many cosplayers from all over the country taking part in the event, dressed in their costumes of choice. There are also many events planned, including various roadside events in which anyone can participate.
The main and back streets of Nihonbashi were so packed with cosplayers, photographers and general spectators that it was difficult to walk through. The number of cosplayers and general spectators increased with each event, and the streets became as crowded as a commuter train... â

Event Summary Notes.
- Event hours from 12:00 to 15:00 are open to the public for pedestrians on Sakaisuji Street.
- Considerable congestion is expected in the vicinity of the venue on the day of the event, so visitors are advised to use public transport. Cars, motorbikes and bicycles are strictly forbidden.

The 'Official Guidebook' for Stofest will be published in early April 2024 and will be available at the Nihonbashi General Information Centre (5-9-12, Nihonbashi, Naniwa-ku, Tokyo) and other sponsored shops in the Nihonbashi area.
Opening ceremony & cosplay parade
An opening ceremony will be held, including an opening address by the Chairman of the Event Organising Committee (Mayor of Naniwa Ward) and an opening declaration. After the ceremony, a parade will be held with a total of 600 participants, including Nihonbashi characters and cosplayers.

Nihonbashi Street Festa naturally attracts HARRIPOTA & FANTASVI COSPEERS!
I, Pancake Man, have also attended in the past 2017, 2018 and 2019. I don't enjoy cosplaying, but I started playing around with the Harriotta costume, which led me to attend cosplay events.

The Nihonbashi Street Fest has a long history, but it was not until the Harry Potter fans came to the Stofest that they got excited,Harry Potter area at Universal Studios Japan.was built, and it was a while after, so it was a relatively recent development (before Corona started).
With the release of the Fantastic Beasts film, more than 30 Haripotacos and Fantabicos naturally gathered at the 2019 Strfest and got to know many fellow Haripotans.
In 2024, the event will be held in May, when it will be hotter, so it is uncertain how many people will gather, but we would love to shout out our love for Harripotta on the streets of Nihonbashi again ヾ（≧▽≦）ノ
