Millennium Bridge, location of the Harry Potter films, London, UK.
From the Rose Market, we walked along the River Thames to the next Harry Potter location. Here we are at the famous London landmark, "Millennium Bridge'! Unfortunately, it was raining lightly, on and off. And it was cloudy all over! (laughs) It was the first bad weather day on this Harry Potter trip. It was London-esque and I was thrilled. It felt a bit like a young Dumbledore from Fantaboby doing magic, didn't it?
The Millennium Bridge is a steel suspension bridge for pedestrians only. The design of the bridge is futuristic, innovative and beautiful. It was built to commemorate the millennium in 2000 AD.
Cross the Millennium Bridge from the south. Ascend to the bridge by turning up the walkway ramp, which is beautifully glazed on both sides.

The Millennium Bridge is featured in the opening scene of the film Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
The Millennium Bridge is 'theHarry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. At the beginning of 'TheDeath Eaters.Three of them fly over London.Diagon AlleyThe scene shows the break-in to the Millennium Bridge, the abduction of Lord Ollivander and then the destruction of the Millennium Bridge and its fall into the River Thames.
The Millennium Bridge is a suspension bridge, so it does sway a little. It doesn't sway as much as a Japanese suspension bridge (laughs), but the bridge is held up by wires on either side of the bridge. If this is severed, the bridge will collapse and fall like in a Harry Potter film (laughs).
Looking right ahead (north-east) from Millennium Bridge, the buildings of the City, the heart of London's financial district, can be seen. Behind those City buildings.Redon Hall Market (location of The Leaky Cauldron). There are.
As you approach the north side of the Millennium Bridge to the other side of the river, 'St Paul's Cathedral' comes into large view. The buildings on either side also have a London-like atmosphere, and you experience the feeling of London and the world of Harriotta all over your body.â
This is the view looking back after crossing the Millennium Bridge. There is some kind of circular plaque embedded in the ground in the foreground of the photo.

St. Paul's Cathedral, also a Harry Potter location|London, UK
We did not stop at 'St Paul's Cathedral' on this tour of Harry Potter filming locations in London. The 'spiral staircase' in the cathedral was used for filming the Harry Potter films. The beautiful spiral staircase in the scene where Professor Trelawney heads to his Divination class is in St Paul's Cathedral. I'd like to stop by next time I'm in London (*).
