Friday, 8 July 2022 Today is the day of the 'Stage Harry Potter and the Cursed ChildThe first day of the Tokyo performance of Stage Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: the first day of the 'Japan Premiere', where actors who started preview performances on 16 June and have been refining their performances in Stage Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, performed for the first time in the main performance.

The theatre, the TBS Akasaka ACT Theatre, is full of Harriotta fans and stage fans from all over Japan! I would like to write that there were only a very small number of Haripota fans and stage fans. Most of the audience in the theatre seemed to be related to the show. The audience was made up of dressed-up celebrities and suited people (^_^...) . I, Pancake Man, was not scheduled to see the play because I lost the competition on the normal ticket sales day, but after seeing the preview performance, I really wanted to see the play a second time, and if possible, I wanted to show up again in Akasaka for the Japan premiere, but my feelings were getting stronger day by day. I was able to get a ticket safely at the open sale of TBS ticket. Thank you very much.

So I enjoyed the stage Harry Potter at the Japan premiere of the first day of the main show.

Please see separate reports on the pre- and post-performance events on the day of the Japan premiere and on the scenes of playing with fellow Harriotta fans.

Thoughts on the play [Conclusion] Stage Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Even the second time is great!

Experience as if you had travelled to the wizarding world and walked through the story with the characters.

The second time I saw the play was from the second floor, and with the stage and the front half of the audience in view, I experienced a world where the whole theatre was the Harry Potter wizarding world, which I could not feel from the first floor seats close to the stage. During the three hours and forty minutes that I watched the play, my thoughts and senses were intensely transported back in time to the wizarding world, and I felt as if I was there, laughing, crying and rejoicing with Scorpius, Albus Severus Potter and the others on stage as the story unfolded.

Only one point was made about what it was like to watch the preview performance, and I mentioned it for theatre novicesBut this time I will talk about a few more things. My perspective is that I am a beginner on the stage and a big Harry Potter fan. When I watch the Harry Potter films, I prefer to watch them with Japanese subtitles, and sometimes I feel very uncomfortable with the dialogue when I watch the translated Japanese version. I know this is a bit off topic, but when I visited the Harry Potter area at USJ for the first time, I felt too uncomfortable with Dumbledore and Harry and the others speaking in Japanese, and felt frustrated that I couldn't immerse myself in the world.

See what I thought of the second Harry Potter play, which I fell in love with the first time I saw it (´▽`*).

Stage Harriotta Here's the great thing, there's fun to be had watching it from the second floor...

The stage and the walls and ceiling around the stage are also part of the stage and decorated with the magical world♪ The stage is part of the magical world and the whole theatre is the magical world! The experience of watching the show is that the stage is part of the magical world. This is an experience that can be better experienced if you are seated further back than in the middle, preferably on the second floor.

Stage Haripota Here's the great thing! The stage set and direction are magical.

Techniques of expression In the film Harry Potter, magical effects are synthesised using CG and other techniques and are visible as images, but visual techniques cannot be used on stage. But objects floating objects move, the running scene of the Hogwarts Express is recreated, and the magic of spells chanted from a wand is launched. The sight of magic being demonstrated live and in front of your eyes is 'amazing! is the only word to describe it. The light and shadows, the clever gimmicks and the acting are all a feat of skill, or rather magic! There are witches and wizards in front of you, and the wizarding world appears before you, including the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts.

Stage Haripota Here's the great thing! Harriotta Fans should definitely watch it!

Fans who have read the films and the novels Harry Potter thoroughly will experience delight and sadness at the development of the story and the foreshadowing of previous stories. The reason is that you will learn about the wider and deeper world of Harry and his friends, which you would never know about without seeing Harry Potter on stage. You will be truly glad you saw it, and at the same time you will rejoice that you can feel the psychology and emotions of the characters more than in the films and novels. Harriotta fans should definitely watch it! (I didn't receive anything from TBS nor from HOLLYPOLITARIANS, w)
You probably already know that a time turner (inverted clock) appears in the show, but watching the play is a nostalgic and heart-warming experience, as you re-experience that era that you entered in movies and novels so long ago.

Stage Haripota - here's what's great! A stage that has never been seen in Japan before.

Even audiences who have not seen or read Harry Potter at all will enjoy the play immensely. The script and direction are amazing, and in the words of various celebrities, it is at a level and content never seen before in the Japanese theatre world (stage, musicals, etc.), so even if you see the play without the Harry Potter storyline, I think you can enjoy the pleasure of seeing a new dimension of theatre. (I, Pancake Man, am a beginner in stage theatre and have no experience, so I use the word 'I think'.)

Stage Harriotta: Here's what's great! Japanese cast & Japanese dialogue but immersed in the world of Harry Potter.

Stage Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Japan performance TBS Akasaka ACT Theatre Stage photo TBS & HORIPRO Press release
It's a Japanese cast with Japanese dialogue, but right after the show starts, it's different from the world of Harry Potter as played by Daniel Radcliffe and Emma, isn't it? But as the story unfolds, Harry is already in front of me! Hermione is there! Ron is there! Ginny is there! You only feel that Albus, Scorpius and Rose are there. Maybe it's the costumes, facial make-up, props and staging that make it look that way, but the gestures, movements and lines of the actors acting on stage create the world of Harry Potter, which is amazing!

As a stage novice, I was overwhelmed by everyone's true-to-life performances. Yes, yes, you say that, don't you? I naturally nodded my head as I watched. I also learnt that, unlike watching on a screen or monitor, you can only experience the emotions expressed by facial expressions and movements directly in front of your eyes and the live dialogue directly in your ears through a stage performance. For the first time, I learned how people who love the stage feel (≥▽≦).

When the curtain comes down on the three hours and 40 minutes of the show, we promise you will want to see Stage Haripota again. Because, as you will feel when you see it, you can never fully enjoy the magic of Stage Haripota in just one visit! You'll have to see it at least twice, and preferably three or four times from different seating positions to fully enjoy the charms of Stage Haripota, though. (≧▽≦)I, Pancake Man, who was sceptical about the stage, assure you...

Oh, but the cast changes from triple to double at different times of the year, so if the performers change, so does the charm, so you can enjoy it more than five times (laughs).

Stage Harry Potter at the close of the first day of the main performance.

When the curtain closed on the three-hour and 40-minute performance, the entire audience gave a standing ovation and a storm of thunderous applause echoed through the ACT Theatre! (≥▽≦) Bravo♪ This is what it looked like at the close of the preview performance.

Perhaps because most of the audience was related to the main performance, there was loud applause but no more than 30% of the audience gave the show a standing ovation. It was also a little disappointing that the applause was not as loud as on the first day of the preview performance. The story of this area is.Stage Haripota Japan premiere report.for more information.

For me and my friends, it was a wonderful Harriotta play. I was told that the preview performance was a rehearsal period, so some scenes in the production were changed to the production specifications...

This makes me want to watch it a third time right away (laughs).

If you are seeing Stage Harry Potter and the Cursed Child for the first time, I would urge you to see the play, preferably without reading any feedback about the production or spoilers in other web media or social networking sites. You will surely be drawn in by the emotion and uniqueness of the production, acting and dialogue exchanges, which will exceed your expectations right before your eyes.

If this is your first time seeing the play and you are not confident that you will understand the storyPublished 'Synopsis'.and ... andScripts on sale from Seizansha. It is totally possible to read the book. Then you will be able to watch it without worrying about the main storyline. The play develops quickly and there is a lot of dialogue, so you will have to decide whether you want to prepare yourself or not (laughs).

If you watch the play without knowing any spoilers about the production or who does what in which scene, you will be surprised and moved even more (≥▽≦).
