Harry Potter Studio Tour Tokyo coin-operated lockers now in operation on a trial basis.

Many people have used the museum's cloakroom (free of charge) to store their luggage and carry-on cases on the Harry Potter Studio Tour Tokyo.The cloakroom is busy at certain times of the day, with users waiting in line for more than 15 minutes.

It is assumed that the pilot operation of coin-operated lockers started in December 2023, presumably as one of the proposed measures to reduce congestion in the cloakrooms.

Harry Potter Studio Tour Tokyo coin locker locations

The coin lockers are located to the left of the entrance to the Harry Potter Studio Tour Tokyo.Ticket window to the left of the entrance.and a coin locker is located further to the left.

• Not many coin-operated lockers are available due to the pilot operation.
• Two sizes of coin-operated lockers (large and small).
• There is no charge for the use of coin-operated lockers.
• It is not possible to book coin lockers in advance.

When the coin lockers are full, it is better to leave them in the cloakroom of the Harriotta Tour museum. (as it is not known when the coin lockers will be empty).

As this is a trial operation, the coin-operated lockers may be stopped at short notice.

Coin locker usage and precautions Harry Potter Studio Tour Tokyo

Coin lockers are only available to Harry Potter Studio Tour Tokyo visitors.

Japanese coins cannot be used. Special coins are required. (If you mistakenly insert 100 yen or 500 yen coins, they cannot be returned. Please note)

The exclusive coin can be obtained by presenting the day's admission ticket to the staff.

It is not possible to take coin-operated lockers in and out of the middle of the day.

Opening a coin-operated locker does not return the special coin and it cannot be reused.

Please use the luggage with your companion as much as possible.

The coin lockers are located outside (under the roof) and cannot be retrieved after entering the museum, as the Haribo Tour Tokyo does not allow re-entry.

If you forget to take it out of your locker, Studio Tour Tokyo cannot provide a postal service.

Terms and conditions for the use of coin-operated lockers

Who should and should not use coin-operated lockers

Coin-operated lockers during the pilot operation will only be used when available.

If you only want to leave items that you will not use until the return leg of your Harriotta tour, coin lockers are recommended. If you want to leave your items in the museum, we recommend the cloakroom in the museum instead of using coin lockers.

If you have change of luggage for cosplay, please use the museum's cloakroom.

The advantage of coin-operated lockers is that you do not have to queue at the cloakroom to retrieve your luggage. This eliminates the time spent queuing in crowded cloakrooms on the way home.

The disadvantage is that you can only get your luggage after you have left the building.

As the number of coin-operated lockers is low during the trial operation, it would be better to use them only if you are lucky if there is an available space.
