Stage production 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child'From the vicinity of the stage to the "TBS Akasaka ACT Theatre"This is the view looking back at the auditorium in the first floor, where you can see the faces of the audience in the last rows of the second floor seats as well. The theatre is shallow in depth, so the stage is not that far away. This means that it is easy to see the stage from the last row.
The following is an image of the stage height level and the eye level of each seat. The rows A to D of SS and S seats have a lower eye level than the stage floor, so those with a lower seat height will feel as if they are looking up a little. 9 and 3/4ths seats are slightly lower, so they are in the best position to see.

Advantages: when seated, it is an easy place to watch, as your eye level is slightly above the stage surface. If your eyesight is normal, you can see the performer's facial expressions without the use of opera glasses.
Disadvantages: the seating position is at the front, so there is no view of the stage surroundings or the sides and ceiling of the theatre. Seats in front of you do not have a lot of legroom. The space is only smaller than that of a bullet train. (Common to all seats).

Advantages: you can watch the play from a height level and at the same level as the actors' eyes. You also have a slight view of the stage surroundings. The seats in rows 9 and 3/4 are in the best position to provide the best balance between the view of the play and the distance to the stage!
Disadvantages: it is considered to be the seat with the fewest disadvantages.

June 2023 - S-plus seats.
Advantages: close proximity to the stage makes it easy to see the actors' facial expressions when they are performing at the front of the stage. The stage set-up can be seen up close as well. As there is no audience in front of you, there is a large space to stretch your legs. The stage right side of the stage can be seen well to the back.
Disadvantages: the seating position is too far left and the back left side of the stage is a blind spot and cannot be seen. Those with a low seat height may not be able to see the back side of the stage as their line of sight is lower than the stage floor.

The photograph is taken from below eye level. Please note that the camera is held at about the height of the backrest, so the seat does not have such a narrow field of view. Most people's necks & heads are above the backrest, so 30 cm above the photo is at eye level.
Advantages & disadvantages: same as the leftmost seat presented above.

June 2023 - S-plus seats.
The seat is located in front of the aisle. The height at which the photo was taken was taken from slightly higher than head position. The seated view should show the stage surface a little lower.
Benefit: The view is slightly below the stage floor. Good view of the left side of the stage. Easy access to the toilets, café and merchandise area between acts due to the close proximity of the entrances and exits.
Disadvantage: the back right-hand side of the stage is a blind spot and cannot be seen.

This is a view of the stage Harry Potter from the very back seat on the ground floor.
Advantages: a wide field of view of the entire stage and also left and right sides of the theatre. There are no people behind you; the stage is closer than you might imagine due to the shallow depth of the ACT Theatre auditorium.
Disadvantages: the ceiling of the second floor seats is in view, so it may be difficult to see the top of the stage and the ceiling. Because of the distance to the stage, opera glasses are necessary to see the actors' facial expressions. Unless you have very good eyesight (^▽^;)

This is the view from the very back seat on the first floor. The first day of this performance, the 'Japan Premiere', seemed to have invited a lot of people from the related parties, and many people in suits were visible. There were also celebrities & people in the entertainment industry dressed up.
Advantages: a wide field of view of the entire stage and also left and right sides of the theatre. No people behind you; the stage is closer than you might imagine due to the shallow depth of the ACT Theatre auditorium. Close to the entrance and exit, so it is easy to go to the toilet between acts. There is an aisle to the side, so there are no people and you can stretch your legs. If there is a production using the aisle, I will be able to experience it up close.
Disadvantages: the ceiling of the second floor seats is in view, so it may be difficult to see the top of the stage and the ceiling. Because of the distance to the stage, opera glasses are necessary to see the actors' facial expressions. Unless you have very good eyesight (^▽^;)

Stage Harry Potter and the Cursed Child This section introduces the view of the stage from the second floor for each seat.The seats that introduce the view of the second floor are as follows. I will also introduce the advantages and disadvantages of each seat as I perceive them. 2nd floor seats have the common advantage that although they are far from the stage, they allow you to see the whole play, including the area around the stage.

Stage Harry Potter and the Cursed Child In the theatre at the time of the performance.
Advantages: entrances and exits are right next to each other. Easy view of the production, as not only the stage but also the stage surroundings, theatre ceiling and side walls are in view. The entire stage can be seen from above.
Disadvantages: the distance from the stage makes it difficult to see the performer's facial expressions and detailed gestures with the naked eye. The back right of the stage is the seat that can be seen through the blind spot. Almost last in the regulated exit. The far side of the stage ceiling is overlooked.

Advantages: the stage & surroundings, ceiling, left and right walls can be seen without moving the viewpoint. Easy to see all staging and performances.
Disadvantages: the stage is far away, making it difficult to see the actors' faces and detailed performances. Can be seen with opera glasses. The seats overlook the far side of the stage ceiling, but this does not affect the actors' performances or the ease of viewing the stage as a whole.

Advantages: you can see both the stage and the inside of the theatre without shaking your head. The left sleeve on the stage is also just barely out of sight.
Disadvantages: seats are far from the stage, so opera glasses are required for detailed facial expressions and movements of the performers. The seats overlook the far side of the stage ceiling section. You will be almost at the end at the regulated exit.

June 2023 - S-plus seats.
Benefit: The best seats on the second floor to see the show are row A, seat SS. Rows B to D behind them are equally easy to watch the play. The view is straight down to the stage, so you can see the whole of the stage clearly. These seats offer the best view of the production using the entire theatre.
Disadvantages: the blind spot on the stage ceiling makes it difficult to see the production and gimmicks. There are also several comments on Twitter that the handrails on the second floor front row, row A, partially obstruct the view of the fall prevention railing.

I'll refrain from going into detail (or holding back from writing) because it would be a spoiler, but I'll tell you, 'Stage Harry Potter and the Cursed Childis a very enjoyable play with an elaborate off-stage production. As Pancake Man, I would recommend seeing the play at least twice to get the most out of it. This is because I would like you to sit close to the stage and experience the power of the performance and the magic on stage up close, and I would also like you to sit in the back, especially on the second floor, to get a feel for the whole theatre (which you can't experience in the front seats).
The 'recommended seats' to watch the stage production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child are the seats in the red box!
The seats that are particularly good for watching the stage of Stage Harry Potter, and the 'recommended' seats for watching the play, are the ones circled in red on the seating chart. I have picked out the recommended seats based on my subjective view.â
Recommended seating on the ground floor: centre block, row 6, row F to row 11, row K (SS seats, 9 3/4 seats, S seats).
Recommended seats on the second floor: centre block, row 2, row B to row 3, row C (S seats).
From June 2023 S seats in Recommended Seats will become S Plus seats.
The highly recommended seats to see the stage Harriotta are of course the '9 and three-quarter seats' Â Other highly recommended seats to see the play are the SS and S seats in the red frame. The reason for this is that they are considered to offer the highest level of overall satisfaction, as they are close to the stage and easy to watch, have a good height level and are easy to watch from the front.Â

The content is overwhelmingly amazing, so it is more important to see and experience it first, rather than to think about the position of the seat you are going to see the play in... Once you see the play, you will probably want to see it a second time immediately (laughs), so I think you can aim to buy a seat to see it a second time or later (≥▽≦).
