Harry Potter Studio Tour Tokyo Facilities｜Lines 9 and ¾ Hogwarts Express

Lines 9 and 3/4 were built using traditional techniques by the creators of the Harry Potter films. The Hogwarts Express, which is used as the basis for the Hogwarts Express shown here, was built in 1929 as theDumbleton Hall.This is a British steam locomotive called 'The Great Western Railway'. Formerly owned by the Great Western Railway, the steam locomotive operated for more than 35 years before it was retired and refurbished in the UK before being transported to Japan to be displayed at Studio Tour Tokyo.

This is the same model as the steam locomotive on display at the Harry Potter Studio Tour London in the UK.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: The Great Wizarding Express - Studio Tour Tokyo

The 9 and ¾ tracks and the Hogwarts Express area are the original Studio Tour Tokyo sets in Fantastic Beasts and Dumbledore's Secret.Great Wizarding Expresswill be on display.

The vehicles are designed in an Art Deco style in keeping with the period setting of the work, with exteriors recreated in materials such as bird's eye maple, ebony and brass inlay strips, and decorated in glorious detail.

The film depicts Newt Scamander leading a brave team of wizards, witches and bakery-owning Muggles on a dangerous mission.

1. Wide set of glass-fronted offices. 360 degrees Ministry of Magic.
