The book is about the history of the Harry Potter graphic design duo 'Mina' Milafona Mina and 'Lima' Eduardo Lima, who have been partners for more than 20 years in the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them films. This book is a great way to find out about the history of their work on the Harry Potter series and the Fantastic Beasts film series.

Contents of THE MAGIC OF MINALIMA

I have only zipped through it and will probably change the description later, but the Magic of Minarima is roughly structured as follows.

1. Previous about 100 pages About the graphics in the Harry Potter film series
2. Medium, about 100 pages About the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them film series graphics.
3. After approx. 40 pages About Minalima graphics

I, Pancake Man, visited Minarima Osaka with no intention of buying it and wanted to see it first. The moment I saw the cover in person, I fell in love at first sight (explosion). I knew the design from the photos and videos I saw on the web beforehand, but I felt that without super high-resolution photos, I probably wouldn't be able to convey this beauty. The cover photo is uploaded in a slightly higher resolution photo, so please click (tap) on the photo displayed to enlarge it and check it out.

One sample book was available for free browsing, and as soon as I turned to a page or two, I was immediately drawn in. To be honest, I expected the contents to be the same as the official Harry Potter guidebooks published in the past, but I was very much betrayed in a good way! Of course there is overlap and some of the same content is included, but the coverage is wide and deep (≥▽≦).

And there were also many graphic and film props (PROP) designs that have not been published in previous guidebooks.Â

And then, in places, there are appendix-like folding items! Due to copyright reasons, you will have to mosaic it and see it from a distance. This is a buy for Harriotta fans, Fantabi fans and Minarima fans! It is an absolute buy! Va.

I guarantee it! (I won't compensate you, but w/o compensation.) What you see on minalima.com and minalima.jp Twitter, etc., surely doesn't convey to everyone how wonderful this Minalima book is. You can feel it when you hold the actual book in your hands and see it in person, but it is difficult to convey this quality on the internet... unless you publish it with high-definition photos and videos, I am sure.

The description and introduction are in English, so if you are not good at reading English, I would have a hard time recommending this to you. My English is at a level where I can't read it without the help of a computer or smartphone translation... but I ended up buying it (laughs) No - I wasn't going to buy it, but when I saw the cover and the contents, I couldn't resist buying it on the WWW.

Magic of Minarima Japanese edition 20 Jan 2023 Sales confirmed.

If it's in Japanese, I want it! The good news is that the Japanese version of the book will be released in January 2023, and we are eagerly waiting for the content to be published in Japanese in the second half of January.

You can watch a video introducing MAGIC OF MINALIMA on a monitor located at the back of the MINALIMA Osaka shop. The content is too good to be true, so please check it out. There is a sample book, so you don't need to watch the video, but watching it will make you feel more excited (≥◇≦).

Incidentally, the art prints on the left and right are very topical. On the left is an art print from the Daily Prophet newspaper of a family photo of the Weasley family. On the right is an art print with a topical graphic of the Weasley Weasel Weeds.

Back at the retreat, we photographed the cover of Magic of Minarima. Can you tell from this photo? The cover is not a smooth paper surface, it is rough. And it is embossed (uneven) along the design, so you can feel the convex bumps in the poster picture and the frog chocolate card by touch. Various symbols are hidden.
