Hogwarts Headmaster Albus Dumbledore USJ 'Harry Potter Area'

Today, we will introduce three hidden spots in the Harry Potter Area at USJ!

  1. Portrait of Newt Scamander.
  2. Sword of Godric Gryffindor.
  3. Albus Dumbledore's Moving Bookshelves and Moving Books.

We all know that the walls are covered with portraits of teachers who have been headmasters of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry... The portraits contain the memories of the deceased headmasters, so you can talk to them. It's a wonderful trick of the wizarding world.

Oops, you can't go into the headmaster's office at USJ Hogwarts and talk to him, because you're not a Muggle.

Now that the first Fantabi (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) film has been released, all Muggles and No-Majs will be familiar with the name of Professor Newt Scamander. We've even adopted him for our Hogwarts textbooks.."Phantom animals and their habitats.'You're famous for writing the "W", actually in the headmaster's office.Portrait of Newt. The W is at stake.

Is one of the following photographs a portrait of Newt Scamander? Do you recognise it?

In the scene in the Headmaster's office in the film Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the portrait has his name (signature) on it, so it is clearly recognisable as a picture of Newt, but the portrait in the USJ Harry Potter area has no name on it, so no one would have noticed (laughs).

If you recognise his portrait without explanation, please let us know in the Owl News.
Now let me explain which portrait is him (laughs).

This portrait is of Professor Newt Scamander.

I (Pancake Man Dumbledore) didn't know until after Fantabulous came out, so don't tell anyone... Of course you know this, but it's not Eddie Redmayne's (Newt's actor in the film) face.

Why there is a portrait of Newt in the headmaster's office is... a mystery... There are a lot of things going on in the wizarding world and with adults, so I think I'll leave it out for now.

In the film Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the portrait of Professor Newt Scamander appears in the scene where Harry enters Dumbledore's office.

And there's a portrait of a much younger Newt Scamander in Hogwarts Castle.

The sword of Gryffindor hangs in the window to the right of Scamander's portrait.

Yes, there is an object in a glass case under the windowsill that says.Sword of Godric Gryffindor.Â

The sword with which Harry Potter fought the basilisk and Neville Longbottom defeated Lord Voldemort's snake, Nagini, in Deathly Hallows, which probably needs no further explanation.

It was also used to destroy the Slytherin pendant, one of the Horcruxes. It is said that only a brave Gryffindor student can retrieve this sword, which is associated with the Gryffindor dormitories.

The real (film PROP) Gryffindor sword is in Headmaster Dumbledore's office in London.

[Hidden spot] Books that move around the bookshelf.

This hidden spot has nothing to do with the Harry Potter films, but it probably should, because I don't think there was a scene in the films where Dumbledore uses magic to remove it from the bookshelf, at least not in the film.

Some of the books on the bookshelves in Dumbledore's study are books that move and move around the shelves.

This is a very rare occasion to see it. I think it would be difficult to notice.
The tip is to keep looking at it for about five minutes.
The biggest clue is to observe this section, framed in white below, all the way through.
With the headmaster's desk in front of him, the bookshelf will be on the right.
The bookcase with the white border is the second one from the back, above the upper and lower bookcases.

The location of the moving book is on the bookshelf to the right of Dumbledore's desk, second from the back, on the top shelf!

Actually, I don't know which books work either (laughs).Wizard, Mr Jotaku.I learned about it from 'I've been told by the Headmaster', who, incidentally, seems to be unrelated to Dumbledore's conversation in the Headmaster's office. He says something like that, but the timing is different from that line (laughs).

The backstory is that the book on Dumbledore's bookshelf in the film was a London telephone directory.
There is a famous anecdote about the art and props staff who put phone books with only the front cover printed on them in a row.
It's a wonderful idea to prepare so many old books that look so old... human wisdom is an amazing thing.
