London Trip Day 2 First Harry Potter Studio Tour Shuttle bus from Watford Junction Station hotel to the studios and back (travelling almost alone in the UK).

Continued from Day 1 of the London trip.

Previous article>Day 1 in London was full of trouble! Heathrow Airport - London City, a fun tour of Harry Potter shops, my first London taxi ride, abandoning Winter Wonderland and getting to my hotel at Watford Junction Station (Almost solo in the UK) 'Departing from Kansai International Airport to London on British Airways.  on a direct flight  with Dr Flit Wick on the in-flight monitor!'

From the hotel to the Warner Bros. Studios shuttle bus stop

This article is almost exclusively about my trip to London, rather than focusing on Harry Potter. It's a travel report on my second day ashore in London, from the hotel to the Harry Potter studios and back.

Good morning! I am the Wizard Pancake Man.

Today is Sunday 8 December 2019. The weather at Watford Junction Station, on the outskirts of London, is clear and sunny. I left the hotel at 8:40 am without breakfast and came to the Watford Junction Station bus roundabout in front of me.

It was very cold, but the clear, cold air was fresh and comfortable for me, as I was in a super-cheerful mood. When I breathed, my nose and lungs tasted the taste of London, or the air of Watford, and I felt like I was immersed in emotion.

Because the studio where the Harry Potter films were shot, 'TheWarner Bros Leavesden Studios', commonly known as.Harry Potter Studio TourThe day has come when I can go to the Warner Bros. It's not a mirage, it's real, and the proof is right in front of me, at the shuttle bus stop for Warner Bros. Studios. There is a big sign for the studio tour at the bus stop, so even a first-timer like me can recognise it at a glance (≥▽≦).

Staff wearing SECURITY jackets will stop you!

When we arrived at the bus station, the shuttle bus was stopping at the right moment. Two security staff with the word 'Security' written in large letters on their jackets were waiting for us. As I approached to board the bus, the staff spoke to me in English. Is there a problem with me? Did I look suspicious or something? What is it? (Laughs) Because they are the ones who wrote 'Security' on the bus (;^_^A).

I hear English well and say, 'Show me your admission ticket or voucher (reservation ticket) for today's studio tour'. I'm relieved to hear what it's all about (laughs) and take out a bundle of printed papers from my bag. The printouts I took out of my bag were many, and there were a supposed English conversation list, vouchers (for the whole itinerary), souvenir list, the whole itinerary schedule, the whole booking list (airline tickets, hotels, etc.), so I had to look for a while before I got the paper with the printed voucher for today's sta-tour... (^^;) (^^;)

Harry Potter Studio Tour wrapped bus, London.

When I showed him the printed HIS voucher, he said 'OK' and directed me to the bus. Pancake Man was very excited to see the bus! Because the bus body was wrapped and the exterior was 'all Harry Potter'! All the body and windows except the front glass of the driver's seat (laughs). (laughs) and Pancake Man later in the day.

Pay the driver 3£ for a return shuttle bus fare and receive a receipt.

Shuttle bus tickets (receipt) Harry Potter Studio Tour LondonNow, get on the shuttle bus to Statua quickly. The bus fare is not included in the HIS rail plan. So you have to pay for the ride separately here. I had planned to have £3 for the shuttle bus round trip in pound coins. However, I haven't had a chance to use any cash since yesterday and I haven't been able to convert any of my notes into coins after all. I tried to ask the hotel to exchange money, but it was impossible. I was told that they would exchange money on the bus, so I gave up and came to take the bus. When I gave the driver a pound note, he smiled and exchanged it. (Good, that's a relief.) I pay the 3£ for the return bus fare. The driver was an affable woman who smiled and was very helpful. I tell her Cheers (also used in London as an alternative to Thank You) and receive my receipt and boarding ticket, and I go upstairs. The front row was already occupied by another guest, so I sat in the third row from the front. In other words, the early bird gets the worm.
(From 2021, shuttle buses will pay round-trip fares forCredit card onlyThe following are available. Please note that cash is not accepted. This report is for 2019.)

Good news From January 2022, you can get on board by presenting your Studio Tour ticket. The ticket price now includes a return shuttle bus fare. (Jan 2022)

The special seats I feel are the four front row seats on the second floor. After all, there is no wrapping on the front windscreen in the direction of travel, so you can enjoy the view. Next would be around the second and third seats from the front where you can easily see the in-car monitors. There are many different types of bus vehicles, so the position of the monitor may differ from my recommendation. I also highly recommend watching the in-car monitors. I promise you that you will be bombarded with tension (laughs).

When it is crowded, sometimes they can't get on the bus and have to wait for the next bus further down the line. On this occasion, one bus was available for all guests. So you want to arrive at the Watford Junction bus stop at least one hour before the designated admission time. If.Food hall for breakfast. In,Frogs for sweets Chocolate caféWe recommend that you come early for an hour plus time to eat if you want to eat in the (or if you want to eat inside the studio before the studio tour)

The bus goes all the way to Warner Bros. Studios.

Shuttle buses vs. tree bumpers Harry Potter Studio Tour Shuttle buses
Shuttle buses departed Watford Junction Station and started driving northwards towards Warner Bros' Harry Potter studios. The area around Watford Junction Station is a quiet residential street in the suburbs of London. Many of the roads are also two-lane streets with a single lane on each side, with large roadside trees on both sides. Huge tree-lined avenues, some twice the height of a bus, have branches that relentlessly overhang the carriageway. Drivers can avoid the bus by crossing the centre line if the trees can be avoided, but if there is an opposing vehicle, they will continue straight ahead. Naturally, the branches bash loudly against the bus body. What? Will the windscreen break? I was worried about that. To my surprise, a bumper for trees was installed on the upper left front of the bus (laughs)! I was convinced that it was equipped that way.

After passing through a residential area, the bus enters a bypass, drives along a motorway for a while, exits the bypass and goes around a bend, and you can see Warner Bros. Studios in the distance! The side windows are also wrapped buses, so they are not clearly visible, but can be seen through small punch holes, which give a faint glimpse.

Arrive at Warner Bros Studios, London shuttle bus drop-off & boarding point.

As the shuttle bus entered the studio grounds, it slowly made its way along the perimeter of the large car park. The studio building is gradually approaching. The bus arrived at a dedicated bus stop for tour buses and shuttle buses at the end of the building.

Opposite the bus stop, an enclosure covers the perimeter of the vacant space. The enclosure is a large 'Daily Prophet Newspaper' (**), which is great!

Tension rises further before he gets off the bus! How high will the Pancake Man's tension go? We haven't even started the Harry Potter Studio Tour yet (laughs).

Look, from the bus stop, around the corner and all the way to the studio building, the Daily Prophet newspaper article continues...

Extensive car park Warner Bros London (Harry Potter Studios)

Looking back is a vast car park. It is extremely cold outside. The air is colder than in front of the station. Warner Bros. Studios is located on a vast empty lot on high ground, so there are no objects to block the wind and the temperature is low. There are staff standing here and there in the parking lot to guide visitors, but they look extremely cold. Thank you for your hard work.

First of all, we arrived safely to the studio! Yay! (**▽`*)

The rest of the process is as described in the General Report, so I won't go into it, but here are some points that are not mentioned in the General Report.

Warner Bros (London) Entrance Harry Potter Studio Tour

USJ Harry Potter merchandise Hogwarts hoodie and passport case with Potions textbook design.
At the ticket window, show your voucher (booking ticket) and redeem your studio entrance ticket. At that time, I had to show my identity card. From a British point of view, as a foreigner, the only ID I could provide was my Japanese passport. Hi! Here comes the chance to show my passport to the British! After submitting it to the counter and checking the contents, including my name, I closed the passport. What the staff member sees is the "Textbook of Potions" in the passport case. He grinned a little. And then he said something like 'Enjoy a good studio...' W. Well, this is the kind of reaction to a passport case story (laughs) Incidentally, this was the only time I used my passport that day.

Day 1.Harry Potter Studio Tourwas finished at around 19:30, when I competed from the tour area. My legs were tired after about three or four hours, as I had been standing and walking all morning except for breaks. There were benches along the way andBacklot CafeThe trick is to take good breaks if you're going to stay the whole day. I play football on a regular basis, so I was more confident in my fitness than most people... but I was surprisingly tired (laughs).

Goods Shop Studio Shop from the hub areaUntil 20:20, we browsed in the goods shop for souvenirs and robes.Goods shop 'Studio Shop'.The shop is also very spacious, so one hour is not enough time to take a good look around at the various items on offer. You can spend two hours in this shop alone (laughs), so you need to schedule your shopping time in the goods shop well in advance.

Warner Bros' Harry Potter Studios hub café.Then I took a short break with a coffee at the Hub Café. It's time for dinner, but I'm still not hungry because I had a late lunch and ate until I was super full... I regret that I should have eaten dinner or bought a takeaway here even if I had to, after returning to Watford Junction station.hub caféI took a break to rest my tired body in the chair with a hot cup of coffee from Starbucks. It was a lot of fun, but I was so tired, wow!

'Professor Flitwick' Harry Potter Studio Tour London Shuttle bus interior. You will board the shuttle bus for your return journey to Watford Junction Station at around 20:50. I wrote in the morning about the shuttle bus monitors, which feature a cast of Harri Potter actors to give you a tour of the Harry Potter Studio Tour. Â See, it's a blurry photo, but you can see the scene where 'Professor Flitwick' appears!

It's pitch black outside, and after 15 minutes we arrive at Watford Junction station. Then the pancake man got hungry... Huh? I went to see if any shops in the station were open at this time of the day, but they were closed just before I got there. If I wasn't tired, I would have walked to the restaurant to eat, but I had to walk at least 10 minutes to find a restaurant (-_-;). When I entered the hotel, my desire to rest won out over my appetite and I went back to my room.

Tomorrow, the third day in London, we'll be moving around quite early in the morning, so I'd like to be in bed by 24:00. So that's it for today's report!

We enjoyed ourselves in bed looking at the large number of photos we had taken. Tomorrow, Monday 9 December, Shirley andHarry Potter Studio Tour dinner event.'Dinner in Great Hall'.We will be going in the evening to the This is a super main event of this trip to London. Looking forward to...

That's all for this London trip report. To continue, please go to (^_-)-☆.
