One of the most memorable locations in the Harry Potter film series, Hogwarts Great Hall has been the scene of many celebrations and feasts throughout the decade-long filming.Christmas dance partyand has been the setting for numerous scenes, including a magical showdown. In designing the set, art director Stuart Craig drew on traditional English architectural influences. The cobbled floors, elongated windows and wooden panelled walls were inspired by the Great Hall at Christ Church College, Oxford University, UK.

While influenced by real historic university buildings, the Hogwarts Great Hall had a variety of magic features, including a ceiling with many candles floating in the air. During filming, this was achieved using real flames, but these were replaced by visual effects for safety reasons after one of the wires holding the candles caught fire. Also, at the feast for the film Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, a realistic, freshly cooked meal was prepared. However, the meat had to be replaced at least twice a day to avoid unpleasant odours, so from the second film, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, this was replaced by food samples made from poured resin.

The Hogwarts Great Hall set was painstakingly built in the UK by the original filmmakers before being carefully transported to the new Studio Tour Tokyo facility.

Hogwarts Great Hall information on the Harry Potter film series.

1. At the time of filming, the hall was large enough to seat more than 300 actors.
2. The Hogwarts Great Hall set was one of the first sets built for the Harry Potter film series and was used as the main set for almost all the Harry Potter films.
3.  Real food was used for the feast in the Great Hall during the filming of early cinematographic productions. Soon, however, it was discovered that food that had been placed under the hot studio lights for hours did not last long, and the props production department had to make models of the food for later productions.
4. In the film, the Great Hall appears to have a magical ceiling with many candles floating in the air. Initially this was achieved using real flames, but for safety reasons this was replaced by CGI (computer-generated imagery) candles.
5. Behind the teachers' table is a point meter by dormitory. This was created by the props production department led by Pierre Bohana and contains a large quantity of coloured glass beads. When the original props were produced, so many beads were used that there was a worldwide shortage of glass beads!

Today, 24 April 2023 (Monday), the set of the Great Hall of Hogwarts, one of the most iconic filming locations in the Harry Potter series, was completed. In honour of the age of [11] when Harry, Ron and Hermione entered Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, local Nerima Ward 'Harry Potter' fans' 11-year-old children were invited to experience the magic of the 'Great Hall' first hand by experiencing behind-the-scenes aspects of the set production.

The 'Great Hall', where Harry and his friends at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry meet together for the first time to be grouped together and begin their new lives as new students at the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The children were excited to see the magnificent set of the 'Great Hall' spread out before them when they opened the door. During the hands-on experience, Studio Tour Tokyo guides, known as interactors, guided the children in the same way as they would experience a real studio tour, explaining the knowledge and attractions of the 'Great Hall' set and what went on behind the scenes during the film's production.
