I was doing theatre at university and was wondering whether I should continue acting or get a job when I heard about this audition. I was grasping at straws, so to speak, when I found out that I had passed the audition I was honestly relieved. The role of Albus is an important role as it directly affects how well I perform to the satisfaction of the audience, so I have to fight pressure every day, but I am very happy to be able to do the work I love every day. I think this audition is the only chance for the general public to receive world-class direction and perform with a cast full of talent, so if anyone is unsure, I urge them to apply.

Scorpius Malfoy as Scorpius Malfoy (son of Draco Malfoy)

I was originally a fan of Harry Potter, but an older colleague who saw the play in London recommended me to audition, saying, "Kadota-kun, you would definitely fit the role of Scorpius". It was the first time in my life that I was frustrated because of the Corona disaster, which reduced my work as an actor, so I was surprised when I was accepted and it was a strange feeling. Now I am sincerely glad that I auditioned. Being on stage for a long period of time can be both a joy and a challenge, so I would like you to think carefully about whether you want to audition or not. If you still want to give it a go, I will do my best to welcome you and I hope you will jump in.

1. 1st round of screening
   [Document review] Notified by Tuesday 31 January (only successful applicants will be informed by email).
2. Secondary screening
   Video judging: Submit the video of the assignment by Sunday 5 February. (Those who pass will be informed by Fri 10 Feb).
3. 3rd round of screening
   [Practical assessment] Face-to-face auditions in Tokyo from 16 (Thu) to 27 (Mon) February.
