New for 2023 is a special feature that recreates popular scenes from Harry's first year at Hogwarts with a studio tour.

Warner Bros Studio Tour London is celebrating its 11th anniversary by inviting you to visit Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as a Hogwarts student.

Hogwarts Great Hall is like a scene from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, with 400 floating candles â

More than 400 candles (candles) for the first time since the end of filming of the Harry Potter films.Ceiling of Hogwarts Great Hall.It is floating enchantingly in the Guests have the chance to step onto a film set as seen by the cast of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

During filming more than 20 years ago, real lit candles were used. However, halfway through the film, the producers decided to add them later in the video edit for the safety of the cast and crew.

In this feature, the candles are hung using wire. The total length of wire used is approximately 4.8 kilometres! (This is now done by the excellent staff in the special effects department, who use light effects instead of flames.)

In this special feature, you will discover the secrets of Mr Flitwick's class 'Spell Literature', where Harry experienced magic for the first time.

Live demonstrations (demonstration experiences) allow fans to experience the magic spell 'Wingardium Leviosa' and see what filming techniques were used to bring the spell to life.

The magic, created with practical effects rather than CGI (computer-generated imagery), was as simple as feathers on a fishing line.

Special effects supervisor John Richardson describes the technology as 'a throwback to the silent film era'.

Experience the secrets of filming with the two actors who played the half-giant Hagrid!

One of the first wizards Harry met was the half-giant Hagrid. Actor Robbie Coltrane, who played Hagrid, was 185 cm tall, but not tall enough to play the half-giant Hagrid.

So Martin Bayfield, a 6-foot-tall English rugby player, was a body double (understudy) in many scenes, wearing stilts and prosthetic arms to represent Hagrid's height.

DISCOVERING HOGWARTS will demonstrate this process live, showing how the half-giant was brought to life before our eyes.

'Discovering Hogwarts' is a special programme that runs from 2 May to 4 September 2023 and is included in the normal Studio Tour ticket price. Therefore, no additional fees or tickets are required.

Normal events throughout the year at Warner Bros Studio Tour London The Making of Harry Potter can be experienced for the price of admission only.

Special events such as dinners, on the other hand, require an exclusive ticket.
