Theatre dedicated to the stage production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child TBS Akasaka ACT Theatre, consisting of ground floor and second floor seating.
Stage, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, front of stage. From "TBS Akasaka ACT Theatre"Looking back at the seats in the first floor, you can see the second floor as well as the first floor like this. The audience in the last row can see the audience's faces, and because the theatre has a different depth, it is not so far from the stage. It can be said that it is easy to see the stage from the last row. However, from the back seats, you will need opera glasses to see the actors' faces and detailed gestures.
This is an image of the stage height level and the eye level of each seat. The image shown in the picture is for reference only: rows A to D of SS, S and S plus seats have a lower eye level than the stage floor, so those with a lower seat height will feel as if they are looking up a little. The seats in rows 9 and 3/4 are slightly lower than the stage, making it easier to watch the play.
Seating chart (seat map)|Theatre dedicated to the stage production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child TBS Akasaka ACT Theatre
This is the 'seating chart' from the TBS Akasaka ACT Theatre from the June 2023 performance. The stage for the stage production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is located where the words 'First Floor Seats' appear at the top of the seating chart above. The seats on the seating chart are colour-coded to indicate the seat type. (The actual seats are not colour-coded).
- 9 3/4 seats: pink seats, 1st floor, limited to 14 special seats.
- SS seats: yellow seats 1st and 2nd floor, front of stage only
- S plus seats: orange seats 1st and 2nd floors Most seats[Newly established] From June 2023 performance.

The seating chart presented hereafter shows the seating positions in the view image with arrow symbols. The photographs are presented to help you visualise the view of the stage from that seating position. The field of view is through the lens of a camera, so it differs from the sensation and distance actually seen by a person.

Recommended seats] SS seats, 1st floor, centre block, row 8, G20 Image of the view from the seats|Harry Potter on stage Akasaka ACT Theatre
The best seating position to enjoy the stage Harry Potter is around rows E to K of SS seats. (Photo by. Erica.(Samba)
Advantages: when seated, it is an easy place to watch, as your eye level is slightly above the stage surface. If your eyesight is normal, you can see the performer's facial expressions without the use of opera glasses.
Disadvantages: the seating position is at the front, so there is no view of the stage surroundings or the sides and ceiling of the theatre. Seats in front of you do not have a lot of legroom. The space is only smaller than that of a bullet train. (Common to all seats).
Highly recommended seats] 9 and three-quarter seat, first floor, centre block, row 9, I20 Image of the view from the seat|Stage Haripota Akasaka ACT Theatre
Stage production Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, special seats, 'Nine and three-quarter seats'.
Advantages: you can watch the play from a height level that is also about the same as the actors' eye level. The area around the stage is also slightly in view. The aisle in front of your seat allows you to stretch your legs freely during the performance. The seats on rows 9 and 3/4 are in the best position, as they offer the best balance between the view of the play and the distance to the stage!
Disadvantages: it is considered to be the seat with the fewest disadvantages.
Position of the 'nine and three-quarter seat', seen from the left diagonally to the rear of the theatre.
Nine and three-quarter line sheet.is located in this area.Nine and three-quarter line sheet. This special seat also comes with a number of benefits... For more information, please read the report below.
S-plus seats, 1st floor, left block, row 1, A11 Image of the view from the seats|Stage Haripota Akasaka ACT Theatre
Advantages: close proximity to the stage makes it easy to see the actors' facial expressions when they are performing at the front of the stage. The stage set-up can be seen up close as well. As there is no audience in front of you, there is a large space to stretch your legs. The stage right side of the stage can be seen well to the back.
Disadvantages: the seating position is too far left and the back left side of the stage is a blind spot and cannot be seen. Those with a low seat height may not be able to see the back side of the stage as their line of sight is lower than the stage floor.
S-plus seats, 1st floor, right block, row 1, A31 Image of the view from the seat|Stage Haripota Akasaka ACT Theatre
The photograph is taken from below eye level. Please note that the camera is held at about the height of the backrest, so the seat does not have such a narrow field of view. Most people's necks & heads are above the backrest, so 30 cm above the photo is at eye level.
Advantages & disadvantages: same as the leftmost seat presented above.
S-plus seats, 1st floor, right block, row 9, H37 Image of the view from the seats|Stage Haripota Akasaka ACT Theatre
The seat is located in front of the aisle. The height at which the photo was taken was taken from slightly higher than head position. The seated view should show the stage surface a little lower.
Benefit: The view is slightly below the stage floor. Good view of the left side of the stage. Easy access to the toilets, café and merchandise area between acts due to the close proximity of the entrances and exits.
Disadvantage: the back right-hand side of the stage is a blind spot and cannot be seen.
Seat A, 1st floor, rear centre block, last row, Y20 Image of view from seat|Stage Haripota Akasaka ACT Theatre
This is a view of the stage Harry Potter from the very back seat on the ground floor.
Advantages: a wide field of view of the entire stage and also left and right sides of the theatre. There are no people behind you; the stage is closer than you might imagine due to the shallow depth of the ACT Theatre auditorium.
Disadvantages: the ceiling of the second floor seats is in view, so it may be difficult to see the top of the stage and the ceiling. Because of the distance to the stage, opera glasses are necessary to see the actors' facial expressions. Unless you have very good eyesight (^▽^;)
Seat A, 1st floor, rear centre block, last row, far right, image of view from seat Y27|Stage Haripota Akasaka ACT Theatre
This is the view from the very back seat on the first floor. The first day of this performance, the 'Japan Premiere', seemed to have invited a lot of people from the related parties, and many people in suits were visible. There were also celebrities & people in the entertainment industry dressed up.
Advantages: a wide field of view of the entire stage and also left and right sides of the theatre. No people behind you; the stage is closer than you might imagine due to the shallow depth of the ACT Theatre auditorium. Close to the entrance and exit, so it is easy to go to the toilet between acts. There is an aisle to the side, so there are no people and you can stretch your legs. If there is a production using the aisle, I will be able to experience it up close.
Disadvantages: the ceiling of the second floor seats is in view, so it may be difficult to see the top of the stage and the ceiling. Because of the distance to the stage, opera glasses are necessary to see the actors' facial expressions. Unless you have very good eyesight (^▽^;)
Stage Harriotta Stage view of the play from the second floor.
This section introduces the view of the stage of the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child from the second floor for each seat. The seats that introduce the view of the second floor are as follows: the first floor seats are located on the first floor, the second floor seats are located on the second floor, and the third floor seats are located on the third floor. I will also introduce the advantages and disadvantages of each seat as I perceive them: although the second-floor seats are further from the stage, they have the common advantage of allowing the audience to grasp the entire play, including the area around the stage.
- Second floor, seat S, last row on the right.
- Second floor, seat S, last row centre.
- 2nd floor, seat S, left block, slightly left of centre.
- Second floor, S-plus seats, centre, row 3.
S seats, 2nd floor, right block, last row, far right F42 Image of the view from the seats|Stage Haripota Akasaka ACT Theatre
Stage Harry Potter and the Cursed Child In the theatre at the time of the performance.
Advantages: entrances and exits are right next to each other. Easy view of the production, as not only the stage but also the stage surroundings, theatre ceiling and side walls are in view. The entire stage can be seen from above.
Disadvantages: the distance from the stage makes it difficult to see the performer's facial expressions and detailed gestures with the naked eye. The back right of the stage is the seat that can be seen through the blind spot. Almost last in the regulated exit. The far side of the stage ceiling is overlooked.
S seats, 2nd floor, centre block, last row, centre F21 Image of the view from the seats|Stage Haripota Akasaka ACT Theatre
Advantages: the stage & surroundings, ceiling, left and right walls can be seen without moving the viewpoint. Easy to see all staging and performances.
Disadvantages: the stage is far away, making it difficult to see the actors' faces and detailed performances. Can be seen with opera glasses. The seats overlook the far side of the stage ceiling, but this does not affect the actors' performances or the ease of viewing the stage as a whole.
Image of view from seat S, 2nd floor, left block, slightly left of centre, E5|Stage Haripota Akasaka ACT Theatre
Advantages: you can see both the stage and the inside of the theatre without shaking your head. The left sleeve on the stage is also just barely out of sight.
Disadvantages: seats are far from the stage, so opera glasses are required for detailed facial expressions and movements of the performers. The seats overlook the far side of the stage ceiling section. You will be almost at the end at the regulated exit.
Recommended seats] S-plus seats, 2nd floor, centre block, centre D20 Image of the view from the seats|Harry Potter on stage Akasaka ACT Theatre
Benefit: The best view on the second floor is in row A, seat SS. Rows B to D (S plus seats) behind them are equally easy to see the play. The view is straight down to the stage, so you can see the whole picture clearly. These seats offer the best view of the production using the entire theatre.
Disadvantages: the blind spot on the stage ceiling makes it difficult to see the production and gimmicks. There are also several comments on Twitter that the handrails on the second floor front row, row A, partially obstruct the view of the fall prevention railing.
舞台「ハリー・ポッターと呪いの子」は1階席と2階席と2回観劇すると違った満足感があります♪
Stage production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Childis a very enjoyable play with an elaborate off-stage production. As a pancake man, I think that if you see the play at least twice, if possible, you will be able to enjoy most of the gimmicks and staging of stage Harriotta.
We want you to sit close to the stage so that you can see the performance and the magic on stage up close and experience the power of it, and we also want you to sit at the back, especially on the second floor, so that you can experience the atmosphere and the production of the whole theatre (≥▽≦)no.
The 'recommended seats' to watch the stage production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child are the seats in the red box!
The 'recommended' seats for the play, seats in which it is particularly easy to see the stage of Stage Harry Potter, are the places circled in red on the seating chart. I picked up the 'recommended seats' based on my subjective view.â
- Recommended seating on the ground floor: centre block, rows 6 F to 11 K (SS seats, 9 3/4 seats).
- Recommended seats on the second floor: centre block, row 2, row B to row 3, row C (S-plus seats).
Of course, the highly recommended seats to see the stage Harriotta are the 'nine and three-quarter seats'.
Other seats that are highly recommended for watching the play are in the red box.SS seatand ... andS-plus seatsThe reason is that it is close to the stage, easy to watch and has a good height level. The reason is that the distance to the stage is close and easy to see, the height level is moderate and it is easy to see in front of the stage, etc. The overall satisfaction level is considered to be the highest.â
especiallyRecommended seatingThe Harry Potter stage has been selected as the best place to see the play, but regardless of your seat position, we recommend that you first see the play once, regardless of which seat you have. The content of the stage is overwhelmingly amazing, so it is more important to see and experience it first, rather than worrying about the position of the seat you are going to see the play in.â
Once you see the play, you will surely want to see it a second time right away (laughs), so you can buy the seats you want to see after the second time (≥▽≦).
We hope that this page will help you to see the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Note 2: The photographic view images and in-theatre photographs are taken through a camera lens and therefore differ from the field of view and depth of field as seen by the human eye. This is because the distortion and performance of the camera lens differs from that of the human eye.
Note 3: This report is the result of Wizarding World.com's own research. Please note that your impressions and sensations may differ if you actually sit down and watch the stage.
