This article is a report from the Highwood Convention event, known as Halycon, held in May 2016. At this Halycon9, actors from the Harry Potter film series, Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy, and Jason Isaacs, who played Lucius Malfoy, came to Japan to take part in a photo session and sign autographs. (This is from my Pancake Man personal blog days, before we became 魔法界ドットコム.)

Potterians and potaclubbers who have time tomorrow, Sunday 8 May, should definitely go to the Hotel Grand Palace in Kudanshita to see "Halicon 9". I haven't confirmed yet, but it seems there are still some tickets left for the day.

The reason why I recommend it is that it was not just about getting photographed and signed, it was also a lot of fun. There is a brief conversation and a bit of skinship in between the photo shoots, there is an exchange when signing autographs, and if you are lucky, you may even run into them when you go for a break.

Flowers on Both Sides photo session with Tom & Jason, 7 May.

Now it's our turn for the 'flowers on both hands' photo session.
Draco Chakifoy brought his own goodies in both hands.

One is Lucius Malfoy's stick.
The other is 'Nimbus 2001'.
Once in the filming space, Papa Foy took his own walking stick and pulled out his cane.

We were Harry, Draco and Dumbledore trying to film with the Malfoys.
This was when the three of them moved in between the two men and took up their shooting positions.

I almost got avada'd (laughs).
Both Mr Tom and Mr Jason are very cool.
Moreover, they were both smiling and friendly.
I am a man and I almost fell in love with them, they were so handsome!
I will forever remember being able to photograph Chakifoy, Harry and Dumbledore dressed as Dumbledore.
I have no regrets even if I die at any time. No, I can't die just yet (laughs).

An unexpected pleasant surprise... a happy happening from the funny Tom Felton...

I was in the corridor outside the venue taking photos with Nachan Harry, Professor Snape and all the participants.
We had everyone's attention on the camera lens.
There was some person running in from the other side.

Before we had time to look at each other, they had intervened in front of us.
So Tom Felton: ！！！！
Awwwwwww!

 This seems to be Tom's playful fan service.
It appears that he served us on the way to the bathroom from the event venue (laughs).
It was a pleasant surprise.
Awwwww, everyone's smile is turning into a big smile.
I was very excited... and Tom probably scolded me later...

And a surprise when I was paying at the hotel café.

While paying at the cash register in a hotel café, I am flanked by a man taking pictures of me with a camera from the side.
When he turns around, he holds up a large digital camera and keeps snapping away.
I couldn't see his face clearly because the camera was in the way, but when I looked closer I saw that it was 'Tom Felton! Tom Felton!
He was still snapping away at Pancake Man Dumbledore when I turned around.
A pleasant surprise again!

Harry & Harry, Draco & Draco! met (lol) at the 'Halycon 9' Star Ace booth.

The "Star Ace" booth, a shop in the merchandising area, had a lot of HARRIPOTA-related figurines.
There were no sales at Halycon, only a reference display.

Hagrid, Ron, Hermione, Harry, Draco, Snape, Voldemort, Moody, Sirius.

It's so realistic that when you look at it up close, you could easily mistake it for the real thing or even the person itself (laughs).

I was amazed at the variety of items and the detail with which they were reproduced!
There are also figures in the same costumes as "Nachan Harry" and "Chakifoy", who participated together in this project. w
The Star Ace staff found them and gave them a special gift!

Harriotta figures are not insanely expensive, from 20,000 yen, so you can buy them if you work hard.
But what we saw and talked about with our colleagues was

Because 10 bodies x 20,000 = 200,000 yen.
(Holy shit, I'd love to see those of you who have a raft of gold coins in Gringotts to get them together.

I don't have a photo, but Mr Jason aka Papa Foy had his autograph on the cane that is built into Lucius' walking stick.
He vowed that this would also be a cherished memento of the World Wide Web.
I didn't know at this point that I would also want one when I saw this sign and that I would have to worry about it that night (laughs).

I had planned to return to Muggle and enjoy the Tokyo Pahoke world on 8 May instead of attending Halycon, but...
