There are several arched walls at King's Cross Station: near the turnstiles, at the front and back of the overpasses between platforms, and near the end of the platform furthest from the turnstiles. Looking at all the arch walls, there is no wall with the same shape and pattern as the magical wall to platform 9 ¾ that appeared in the film, through which Harry and Ron passed.

This is because the filming of the Harry Potter movie was filmed on the walls of King's Cross station, with additional walls from the film set. So where is the wall that was used for filming, it is likely to be the arched wall at the end of the platform or the wall at the far side of the overpass. King's Cross Station is the location used for filming the Harry Potter films, but there are usually lots of station users coming and going from morning to night. If you enter the platform to take photos, be careful not to disturb passers-by or station staff.
  1. They do not obstruct the passage. As all trains are long-distance, once the train arrives and the disembarking passengers move off the platform, the train is unmanned for some time.
  2. Do not interfere with cleaning or operational staff.
  3. Stay away from moving trains.
  4. Do not photograph the driver's cab, even if the door is open (you will be scolded so much).
  5. Groups do not stand still. Several people will just stop in the line of flow (where people are moving) and obstruct traffic.
Note that the original photo spot was located on the platform, but it was moved off the platform because it became so famous and tourists were getting in the way of the general public. Kings Cross Station is not a theme park.

Better transport to King's Cross and St Pancras stations is by underground â
  • Walking: it is a 10-minute walk from Euston station. (if coming by train from Harry Potter Studios).
  • Underground: King's Cross St. Pancras station is directly below King's Cross and St. Pancras station. If you are visiting the UK from Japan or Asia, the Underground is the easiest way to get to King's Cross Station from Heathrow or Gatwick Airport.
  • Buses: there are probably more bus routes in London than in Kyoto. In other words, it's super complicated (laughs). Once you get used to it, it's a convenient means of transport. You don't have to go up and down long flights of stairs to station platforms like you do on the tube (laughs).
  • Taxis: the best way to get around if you want to have fun. High minivan-type London taxis are easy to carry large items of luggage in and provide a comfortable ride. (Taxis are the most expensive mode of transport.)

One of the main terminal stations in London, the capital of the United Kingdom (UK), is Kings Cross Station. It is served by long-distance trains to northern Scotland (Edinburgh or Edinburgh). In the old days, the famous steam locomotive express train 'Flying Scotsman (LNER)' ran between King's Cross Station London and Edinburgh. The Flying Scotsman was a passenger train with large, pale green steam locomotives pulling coaches, leaving King's Cross Station at exactly 10am. Perhaps J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter books, was inspired by the Flying Scotsman as a model for the Hogwarts Express.
