Warner Bros Studio Tour Tokyo - Making of Harry Potter will open this summer on the former site of Toshimaen, Nerima-ku.

Flags with the Studio Tour Tokyo concept art design will be placed on streetlights and other locations in the shopping precincts around the facility in order to build momentum for the opening and to encourage visitors to the facility to tour the surrounding shopping precincts and other areas.

Prior to the installation, a ceremony to celebrate the installation of the flags (unveiling ceremony) will be held on 26 February 2023 (Sunday).

Other events include the screening of all eight films in the Harry Potter film series on 18, 19, 25 and 26 February 2023 and an event based on the concept of magic on 26 February 2023 to build momentum for the opening of the facility.

Tokyo Nerima Ward will host a flag installation ceremony (unveiling ceremony) with Mr Torben Jensen, General Manager of Warner Bros Studios Japan, LLC.

At the unveiling ceremony, students from Nihon University College of Art's Department of Music will perform a live fanfare featuring music from the Harry Potter films, and pupils from nearby primary schools will appear wearing dormitory dressing gowns to unveil the flags in a production that will help to celebrate the opening of the Harry Potter Studio Tour Tokyo.

Magical theme event 'Nerima City Wizard Festival'

To maximise the momentum-building effect of the opening of the Harry Potter Studio Tour Tokyo, a magical concept event will be held at Heisei Azalea Park on 26 February 2023.

In summer 2023, a facility where visitors can experience the behind-the-scenes production of the Harry Potter film will open on the former Toshimaen site.
The Nerima City Wizard Project was set up. In order to communicate the attractiveness of the ward to a large number of visitors and to create momentum for the opening of the facility, the 'Nerima City Wizard Project' has been set up, with volunteer young ward employees working on a variety of schemes based on the concept of 'enlivening Nerima with magic'.
